Constantinou Resigns from CBC

CBCCBC
The government confirmed on October 29 that a member of the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) board has resigned.
Government spokesman Nicos Christodoulides confirmed reports that non-executive member Nicos Constantinou had submitted his resignation to the president.
According to the Cyprus News Agency, Christodoulides did not comment further on the matter. It is the third resignation of a CBC board member this year following those of Stelios Kiliaris and Stavros Zenios in March.
Cyprus News Agency sources from the finance ministry report that the government plans to appoint a new member immediately to prevent problems in the board’s operation.
