Christodoulos Angastiniotis has been reappointed Chairman of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency for another four-year period by President Nicos Anastasiades, who has also renewed the tenure of the rest of the CIPA Board.
Angastiniotis was originally appointed to the role in 2011 by former President of the Republic Demetris Christofias and has been offered another term as the Agency’s President in the context of his significant contribution in attracting foreign direct investment to the island.
It has been reported that Minister of Energy Yiorgos Lakkotrypis – to whose Ministry CIPA belongs – has informed Angastiniotis of the decision. The official announcement of the decision to renew the contracts of the entire CIPA Board, however, will be made on November 19 during the Agency’s Annual General Meeting.
Christodoulos Angastiniotis, Christos Mavrellis and Marios Klitou, in their capacities as Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the Agency will be credited with successfully coordinating the effective promotion of the island’s investment prospects overseas, as will the rest of the Board.
