The Government of Cyprus will soon undertake the establishment of some 15 specialised centres throughout China for the processing of Cyprus Citizenship and Residency Applications, the President of the Republic has revealed.
Currently in China on an official working visit, Anastasiades clarified that the new centres will be located in regions where there are no Cypriot diplomatic missions able to facilitate such applications.
The island’s administration has already selected a private provider to aid in this development, he said, through a tender call.
The operation of the new centres will follow the signing of an agreement between the European Union and China, regarding the exemption of visa requirements of holders of diplomatic passports.
As a result of this development, both tourists and businessmen from China will be able to more easily visit and invest in Cyprus.
