Chairman of the Cyprus Stock Exchange Marios Pilavakis has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Federation of European Securities Exchange (FESE), citing the development “a great success”.
During a meeting in Brussels on December 10, the FESE General Assembly unanimously agreed on Pilavakis’ appointment for a three year period.
“This is a great success for the small stock-market of Cyprus since it will be represented [within FESE] and will have an important role in the European markets,” the CSE Chairman noted.
Following the FESE General Assembly, the composition of the Board is as follows:

FESE represents thirty six exchanges in equities, bonds, derivatives and commodities through nineteen full members from thirty countries. At the end of 2014, FESE members had in excess of 9,000 companies listed on their markets.
Pilavakis became Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Stock Exchange last June. He previously served as a member of the CSE Board between 2005 and 2010, and as Vice-Chairman from 2011 to 2015.
